Senior Manager, Liquidation

ROLE PURPOSE

The SR Manager Liquidation supports the Global Liquidation team for Asurion.  They will have primary responsibility in the liquidation of all OEM’s devices, wearables, tablets, parts etc. They will develop and implement Asurion’s strategy for wholesale and direct to consumer sales. They will also own the sourcing of fair market value data to be used across our supply chains.  The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with directive input is essential to this position. The candidate will be self-sufficient and able to lead through influence while balancing the asks of delivering results in the short term while meeting our strategic long-term business plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the subject matter expert for global liquidations strategy and execution
  • Creates, defines, and implements liquidation strategy for domestic and international wholesale and direct to consumer sales
  • Supports global business units to implement new products and features
  • Developing a liquidation road map via creation/implementation of a next best use engine
  • Ability to partner with product and other supply chain teams to deliver on trade-in/upgrade business requirements
  • Deliver against KPIs and perform optimization of disposition methods
  • Consults with global business units to improve performance and maximize revenue
  • Challenge status quo and proactively drive for profitability optimization by establishing creative outside the box solutions
  • Lead internal and external discussions on key initiatives and/or liquidation strategy involving holding internal stakeholders accountable and navigating ambiguous scenarios
  • Establish and sustain strong customer relationship management through effective communication and support for all internal customers
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with external buyers. 
  • Gains understanding of each supplier’s internal supply chain processes and uses this information to benefit the overall Asurion supply chain
  • Serve as industry expert in functional area of responsibility and maintain market intelligence
  • Source data used to create “Fair Market Value” dashboard
  • Develop business plans based on AOP initiatives
  • Lead team responsible for all sales, operations, strategy and analytics

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree preferred + 5 years of sales experience
  • 3+ years of global sales experience in secondary markets
  • 3+ years of multi-channel ecommerce sales experience
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Nashville area
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as R2v3 is a plus
  • Ability to travel ~25% internationally and domestic
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to react, in a proactive way to ‘crisis’ situations
  • Likes to challenge the status quo and think ‘outside the box’
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization
  • Ability to be self-managed and set priorities
  • Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
