24-Jun-2024
Ever wondered how companies like Asurion get involved in their local communities and make a real impact? Meet Jennifer Redican. Her work with the Tennessee Pride Chamber is a story of passion, outreach, and making connections that matter.

Jennifer Redican and Amy Bratten
Jenn's TN Pride Chamber journey began when she started attending sessions to bring back insights to Asurion’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). “Within myDEI role, I saw potential for [Asurion] to be more connected with the community—because the LGBTQ+ world is all about community.” So, join the TN Pride Chamber’s board, more specifically the pillar dedicated to education. Her goal? To educate corporate sponsors on what companies are doing for social equity and to keep businesses aligned with the community’s needs.
Jenn’s passion for education and outreach shines through in everything she does. She’s brought in other people from Asurion to meet community members and strengthen our offerings. In May, Jenn asked members of our BEST ERG from to speak at a TN Pride Chamber panel about our best practices, specifically about their Week of Service. It’s all about sharing knowledge and learning from each other.
In life and advocacy, we have to bring people along with us. We must take chances on others because without our support, they might never get the opportunities they deserve. By empowering and including everyone in our efforts, we create a stronger, more united movement and community. Remember that giving someone a chance can change their whole life.

As a sponsor of the chamber, Asurion has the privilege of hosting and attending. These events are more than just gatherings—they're opportunities for our employees to learn about advocacy legislation, ask questions, and understand how to engage with legislation. Whether it's chatting about hot-button topics or learning from other companies, these events are invaluable. Plus, they’re fun! We get to mingle at networking events like Brewing Up Business in Nashville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro.
Acceptance and community are the focal points of Asurion's partnership with the TN Pride Chamber. Jennifer’s work has given us a stronger sense of advocacy and a deeper connection with our community. We're not just about tech support and insurance—we're about community, advocacy, and making a positive impact. And Jennifer? She's leading the charge with optimism, empathy, and a whole lot of heart.
