JOB DESCRIPTION
The AV Engineer III Position will be responsible for maintaining, implementing, training, and ensuring daily as intended functionality of all Asurion’s Conference Room, Digital Signage, and Smart Building AV Systems and Applications. In addition, this position will work within our conferencing software platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Crestron XIO Cloud and Webex offering support to all internal Asurion users. Secondarily, this position will also provide Live Event / Town Hall Support for leader meetings in our large meeting spaces such as the town hall space, multi-purpose rooms, extra large conference rooms, etc.

Position Summary 
 
The AV Engineer III Position will be responsible for maintaining, implementing, training, and ensuring daily as intended functionality of all Asurion’s Conference Room, Digital Signage, and Smart Building AV Systems and Applications.  In addition, this position will work within our conferencing software platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Crestron XIO Cloud and Webex offering support to all internal Asurion users.  Secondarily, this position will also provide Live Event / Town Hall Support for leader meetings in our large meeting spaces such as the town hall space, multi-purpose rooms, extra large conference rooms, etc.

  

Key Duties 

  • Daily monitoring / maintenance of 1000 Conference Room AV systems and 700 digital signage destinations across our enterprise.
  • Configuration and functionality testing of new systems installed by our integrators.
  • Hardware replacement as necessary in our buildings in the area of Conference Rooms, Digital Signage, and Smart Building Technologies.
  • Training end users and stakeholders on Content Management Systems and other platforms within our space that they may need access to.
  • Updating and maintaining our monitoring databases responsible for alerting when hardware / software issues arise.
  • Supporting Live Events, Corporate Update Meetings via Live Video Production Systems.
  • Communicating with stakeholders around upcoming event / support operations.
     
     

You Must Have 

  • 3+ Year’s experience in the field of AV / IT with a knowledge of installation best
  • practices and workflows.
  • Understanding of Audio-Visual hardware signal flow including AV over IP. 
  • Understanding of Content Management Systems. 
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and web portals.
  • Basic understanding of network principles such as IP addressing, subnets, etc.
  • Comfortable working within Microsoft O365 applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint.  Experience with PowerBi is a plus.
  • Experience with live event production, playback operation, and teleprompter technology.

Preferred skills/traits include: 

  • Expertise in processing control, routing, and audio video signal flow with conferencing / AV software.
  • Experience with Zoom & Microsoft Teams conferencing.
  • Awareness of the latest trends, hardware, and features in AV equipment
  • Familiarity with graphics, encoding and video editing software.
  • The ability to clearly understand to and respond to needs as communicated by other members of the team as well as locate the necessary resources to complete the initiative at hand.
