JOB DESCRIPTION
The Timekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Timekeeping Associates to support accurate time tracking and pay for an organization of 10,000+ employees. This leader is responsible for managing their team to ensure all deliverables and submissions are accurate and on time, building relationships with a cross-functional business team including Operations, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders, providing clear reporting and communication to an audience up to and including the Director level, and developing their timekeeping associates to achieve their full potential.

Role Overview:

The Timekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Timekeeping Associates to support accurate time tracking and pay for an organization of 10,000+ employees. This leader is responsible for managing their team to ensure all deliverables and submissions are accurate and on time, building relationships with a cross-functional business team including Operations, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders, providing clear reporting and communication to an audience up to and including the Director level, and developing their timekeeping associates to achieve their full potential. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, schedule, manage, and train a team of anywhere from 6 – 15 Timekeeping associates to:
    • Ensure the timekeeping system is properly maintained to ensure the accuracy of the data for the payroll feed.
    • Enter Paid Time-Off and make adjustments for time missed by employees.
    • Communicate with employees and supervisors to ensure exceptions are captured in the timekeeping system.
    • Ensure all payroll submission deliverables are accurate and all deadlines are met
    • Make adjustments for system issues (e.g. phones logged off) and employee issues (e.g. logged off by mistake).
    • Follow-up with supervisors to ensure they have checked and approved their employees’ timecards.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate performance results, trends, and/or problem areas to high-level audiences
  • Partner with intra-departmental and cross-functional teams to improve processes, systems, and outcomes
  • Act as a POC for all timekeeping-related requests or concerns
  • Make proactive recommendations for process improvements or other changes that can better the team’s performance

Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Any Finance- or HR-related field or its equivalent
  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ years leading professional employees required (leadership experience in a payroll- or timekeeping-related field is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Not required, but highly desirable:
    • 2+ years of experience with Timekeeping/Payroll or some analogous field
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in UKG / Kronos or other similar time tracking systems
    • Experience in process improvement / Six Sigma
